This specimen was lot 2213 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €1,150 (about US$1,629 including buyers' fees). ''(Jülich-) Berg war ein Nebenland des Kurfürstentums Bayern. Durch den Vertrag von Düsseldorf 1624, der erst 1678 vom Kaiser bestätigt wurde, hatte Pfalz-Neuburg, eine wittelsbachische Nebenlinie, die Herzogtümer Jülich und Berg erhalten. Die Pfalzgrafenherzöge residierten meist in Düsseldorf. Selbst als Johann Wilhelm (1679-1716) durch Erbschaft Kurfürst von der Pfalz wurde, blieb er am Niederrhein. Erst sein Bruder und Nachfolger Karl Philipp residierte zuerst in Neuburg, dann in Heidelberg. Schließlich zog er nach Mannheim; nun wurden Jülich und Berg Nebenlande der pfälzischen Kur.
