The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold II (1865-1909), AR 2 frank, 1887 NL, Rare. Superbe.'' (kingdom of Belgium, Leopold II (1865-1909), silver two francs of 1887, Dutch legends, rare, extremely fine.)</blockquote> This type was struck in 1887 at the Brussels mint. This one year type seems to been struck in Dutch legends only and is rare. The original issue ([[Belgium 1866 2 francs|KM 30.1]]) was minted 1866-68. <br />
