This specimen was lot 50433 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $482. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[German States, Bavaria|GERMANY. Bavaria]]. 2 Talers, 1853. PCGS AU-58. KM-837. Lustrous and conservatively graded." This type is the regular issue of 1849-56 and the only such that is reasonably common.<br />
