This specimen was lot 1766 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €15,000 (about US$20,876 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''BAYERN, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1623 KURFÜRSTENTUM, Maximilian III. Joseph, 1745-1777. Dukat 1760, München. Isargold. Geharnischtes Brustbild r. mit umgelegtem Mantel, Ordensband und der Kette des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies//Der Flußgott der Isar lagert nach r. und entleert mit beiden Händen eine Wasserurne, darunter das vierfeldige Wappen (Bayern/Pfalz); im Hintergrund Stadtansicht von München mit der Frauenkirche, im Abschnitt die Jahreszahl MDCCLX ·. GOLD. RR Hübsche Goldpatina, vorzüglich. Erworben 1953 bei der Firma Julius Jenke, München.'' There is an extensive issue of these river gold ducats that dwindled away in the mid-nineteenth century as bullion production tailed off.
