This type was struck in Chile 1908-09, 1913 and 1919-20. This ten centavos was first introduced in 1896 and was gradually debased until it was converted to copper-nickel in 1920. Both billon (shown here) and copper-nickel ten centavos were struck in 1920. It is common, tho varieties abound.
Recorded mintage: 2,109,000 including a 1920/5 overdate.
Specification: 1.5 g, 0.400 fine silver, 17 mm diameter.
